Data Retention & Disposal Policy

PocketGuard retains user financial data only as long as necessary to provide core application functionality, including budgeting insights, transaction history, and account summaries.

1. Retention

  • User data is retained only for as long as needed to support account features and provide the service.
  • Data associated with connected financial accounts is retained only while the account remains active and authorized.
  • Subscription and limited operational records may be retained as needed for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, and operational purposes.

2. Deletion Requests

Users may request deletion of their account at any time through the application. Upon deletion, associated user data, including financial records and Plaid access tokens maintained by PocketGuard, will be removed from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
